Purple Butterfly

This photograph was taken in the new forest about 30 mins away from Salisbury. If you have never visited its an amazing landscape filled with wildlife including wild horses.

There were a series of these butterflies jumping from blade to blade. A lot of patience and a good, clean macro lens produced this image. There is a clear depth of detail within the wings which contrasts nicely with the blurred blades of grass surrounding it.
