Lightening Tree

I take my camera with me everywhere I go and, in this occasion, I stumbled across a tree which had been hit my lightening only the night before.

This photograph shows the power of lightening. On the left hand side of the shot is the outside edge of the tree. From left to right is a progression through the centre of the tree to the burnt centre to the right of the shot. This huge tree had been torn in two like it was paper. Quite a sight and great for photography!
